Chair – Slovakia - Actress
She graduated in acting from the Bratislava School of Art in 1963 and the following year became a member of the Slovak National Theatre. She had her film debut in 1960. She made her first claim to fame in a fairy tale allegory When the Cat Comes (Až přijde kocour, 1963, directed by Vojtěch Jasný). Since then, she has starred in dozens of films, TV films and theatre productions. She was awarded the Czech Lion for her role in the film Up and Down (Horem Pádem, 2004, directed by Jan Hřebejk) and a prize for Best Actress at Finále Plzeň 2005. She also teaches acting at the Drama Section of Bratislava School of Art.
