25th Finále Plzeň has given out its awards

The international feature film jury decided to award the main festival prize, the Golden Kingfisher for the best film, to The House (Dům) by Zuzana Liová. The international documentary jury decided to award the main prize, the Golden Kingfisher for the best documentary, to Love in the Grave (Láska v hrobě) by David Vondráček. The prize for the best film voted by the audience went to Oldies but Goldies (Vrásky z lásky) by Jiří Strach. The prize for the best actor/actress based on the Internet poll at www.festivalfinale.cz went to David Novotný from the film District League (Okresní přebor). The annual AČFK prize for the best feature film was awarded to Alois Nebel directed by Tomáš Luňák. The annual AČFK prize for the best documentary was awarded to Solar Eclipse (Pod sluncem tma) directed by Martin Mareček. The Dagmar Táborská prize, awarded by the Dagmar and Václav Táborský Foundation and the international documentary jury, for the most original documentary by a female director up to 35 years of age went to the film Publicly Illegal (Veřejně načerno) by directors Lucie Králová and Tereza Reichová. The Václav Táborský prize, awarded by the Dagmar and Václav Táborský Foundation and the international documentary jury, for the most original documentary by a male/female director up to 35 years of age went to the film Generation of Singles (Generace Singles) by director Jana Počtová.
