Mike Reiss

Mike Reiss has won four Emmys and a Peabody Award during his twenty-six years writing for “The Simpsons”. In 2006, Reiss received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Animation Writers Caucus. Reiss co-created the animated series “The Critic” and created Showtime’s hit cartoon “Queer Duck” (about a gay duck). “Queer Duck” was named one of “The 100 Greatest Cartoons of All Time” by the BBC. Mike Reiss has been a contributing writer to more than two dozen animated films -- including four ICE AGEs, three DESPICABLE MEs, THE LORAX, RIO, KUNG FU PANDA 3, and THE SIMPSONS MOVIE. Reiss is also an award-winning playwright, children's book author and mystery writer.

Born, in Cali, Colombia, Juan Torres is currently Head of International Sales and Acquisitions in LATIDO FILMS, Madrid based agency. He was responsible for international sales for titles such as THE SECRET IN THEIR EYES (Oscar Award to Best Foreign film), VIOLETA WENT TO HEAVEN (Best Film in Sundance) or THE OXFORD MURDERS by Alex de la Iglesia. During 4 years he consulted different spanish domestic companies in acquisitions of independent foreigner cinema. He was international representative for French Portuguese Paulo Branco, producer of films by Wim Wenders, Paul Auster, Manoel de Oliveira, etc. Among other positions, he worked for 3 years at the Marché du Film of Festival de Cannes. He studied Economics and Philosophy in Bogota and Medias Management and Analytical Philosophy in Paris. Currently he is based between Moscow and Madrid.

Martin Hradecký

Martin Hradecký works as an editor for ELLE and regularly contributes to other magazines. He focuses on culture and interviews with famous and even more famous people; he questioned such personalities as Kate Moss, Lana Del Rey, Kirsten Dunst, Sienna Miller or the Czech gymnastics legend Věra Čáslavská. He interviews some of the most prominent film directors, including Emir Kosturica, Todd Haynes, Wes Anderson, Baz Luhrman and oters. He studied law, but his passion lies in writing and all things beautiful. In his free time, he dreams about writing a screenplay that would sweep all the red carpets of the world.

Bill Guentzler

Bill Guentzler

Bill Guentzler is the Artistic Director of the Cleveland International Film Festival which is the only US festival with a competition for Central and Eastern European films. He joined the CIFF as a Cleveland State University (CSU) intern in 1998. Soon thereafter he was hired as a part-time Film Festival employee. And in 2000 a full-time Assistant Programmer position was created for him. After years of different positions, he was promoted to Artistic Director in 2005. Since he started at the festival, attendance has nearly tripled, the 39th CIFF in March 2015 welcomed over 100,200 attendees, making it one of the largest film festivals in the United States. As Artistic Director, he has served as a juror and panelist at numerous festivals throughout the world. He holds a B. A. in Communications from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at CSU, which recently named him as one their of 50 Fascinating Alumni.

Mariola Wiktor

Mariola Wiktor

Mariola Wiktor is a film journalist, director of Forum of European Cinema Cinergia in Lodz, Poland and a member of European Film Academy. She graduated from Polish Philology and Cultural Studies at the University of Lodz. Cooperates with film magazines: "Kino", Kamera, Film&TV", "Magazyn SFP" and monthly magazines: "Pani", "Twoj Styl", Zwierciadlo", Harper's bazaar". For many years now she has been reporting on film festivals and interviewing film personalities in such places as Berlin, Cannes Karlovy Vary or Venice. She is a holder of a journalism scholarship at the Wolfson College in Cambridge UK and the author of the cultural TV programm "Kram z Muzami" (A Stall with Muses) for Polvision television in Chicago. In 2004 she organized the 3rd Polish Film festival in London for the Polish Culture Institute and for the last seven years has held the position of he Programme and Artistic Director of the Forum of European Cinema "Cinergia" in Lodz, in the Charlie Cinema.

Mohammadreza Farzad

Mohammadreza Farzad

Born September 1978, Graduated MA in theatre study from Tehran university of fine Arts. He started his art career as poet and translator published half dozens of books. As documentary filmmaker he has made some films awarded and screened in national and international film festivals. His first and second films “Into Thin Air” and “Blames and Flames” premiered at Berlinale 2011, 2012, shown in almost 30 film festivals till now. His third titled “Forget-Me-Not Egg” premiered at Thessaloniki film festival (2013) screened in dozens of International film events. His latest debut feature documentary “Wedding: A Film” (2015) Premiered in “Next Masters” competition of Leipzig documentary film festival, now going into film events across the world. Farzad has been a PHD student in Film Factory headed by legendary Hungarian auteur Bela Tarr. He also acted as jury member in some International film festivals.

Theodora Ana Mihai

Teodora Ana Mihai was born in Romania under Ceausescu’s regime. In ‘89 she joined her parents who had fled to Belgium. She discovered her love for cinema as a teenager and went on to study film at Sarah Lawrence College, in upstate New York. After directing the award-winning documentary Waiting for August, she now works with Mexican writer Habacuc A. De Rosario on two complementary hybrid films: the first about growing up on the Mexico-US border and the second about a mother’s extraordinary transformation from housewife to vengeful militant after the loss of her teenage daughter at the hand of the Zetas cartel.

Producentka, dramaturgyně, scenáristka a režisérka, externí pedagožka, doktorská studentka a absolventka scenáristiky a dramaturgie na JAMU. Tématem její disertační práce je současný autorský dokumentární film. Kromě žurnalistiky na Masarykově univerzitě studovala také v rámci stipendia v USA obory Film Studies a Broadcasting. Jako kreativní producentka České televize je podepsána za dokumenty Počátky, K oblakům vzhlížíme, Kauza Cervanová a koprodukčními filmy jako Zázrak či Koza.

Jeffrey Bowers is Senior Manager of Curation (VOD) at Vimeo and also curates VICE media’s VICE Shorts and writes their column, "I'm Short, Not Stupid.” In the past Jeffrey has programmed for Tribeca Film Festival, Hamptons Film Festival and Rooftop Films.

Alessandro de Rosa

Alessandro de Rosa is a composer and a writer. Since 2006 he worked as composer with Jon Anderson of Yes and, as sound engineer, in Rai with important producers and artists, both italian and international. After studying composition with Boris Porena, in 2011 Alessandro joined the Royal Conservatory of The Hague - where he graduated in the 2014 - and he started to write the biography of Ennio Morricone in conversation with him. Inseguendo quel suono - la mia musica, la mia vita will be released in April 2016 by Mondadori. Morricone already defined it as the best book ever written about him. He's currently working with Pastelle Music and Pastelle Media as AR & Talent Manager and composer.

Eliška Křenková

Eliška Křenková is an actress. She studied the Duncan Centre conservatory and then moved to the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. She is frequently featured in TV series (My Street, Tell Me More, Borgia, The Invisibles, Horoscope Murders or Wasteland - in development) and films (Rafters, Paradne pokecal, Chasing 50 and Family Film). She is a film actress and enjoys the combination of acting and dance which she fully explored in the non-verbal comedy NOs during the Theatre Summer under the Pilsen Skies. You can see her in the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime in Kalich theatre (SKUTR), as an understudy for Hana Vágnerová, and in Icing in the A studio Rubin theatre.
