We are in 1920s Paris. Marguerite Dumont is a wealthy woman, an opera and music lover. She has been singing for her guests for years. However, Marguerite is an awful singer and nobody had the heart to tell her so. Her husband and people close to her let her live in illusion. Everything gets complicated when se decides to sing in front of a real audience, in the Paris Opera. A costume drama about passion based on a lie, made by Xavier Giannoli. The story is loosely based on the life of Florence Foster Jenkins, and American opera singer who got famous for her terrible voice in 1940s.
