A modern film adaptation of the Little Mermaid tells a strong story of unrequited love and modern moral values. Deep in the ocean, the Voice of the Sea tells the story of the Sea King and his daughter, Little. Just like many before him, the King left the devastated waters with his elderly mother and three daughters to live among men. They now lead a laborious and lonely life in a dark fish shop somewhere in the docks. One day, a handsome but rude young man, Baron, comes to the shop. Little is enchanted by both the man and the dub music that follows him. And the lives of Little and her family will never be the same.
